Together with AEWB Lower Saxony, the National Coordination Point of the European Agenda for Adult Learning held the virtual regional conference on educational guidance with a total of 115 participants on December 6, 2022. The conference focused in particular on critical life events, situations of changes, the last pandemic years and the importance of outreach in educational guidance.

In the main input, Mark Kleemann-Göhring (QUA-LiS NRW) addressed the importance of mobilizing outreach work in guidance and the conditions for successful guidance. In the subsequent panel discussion, Dr. Hannah Rosenberg (University of Koblenz-Landau) Frank Schröder (kos GmbH), Mark Kleemann-Göhring (QUA-LiS NRW) and Olaf Craney (National Forum for Guidance) exchanged views on the topic, moderated by Sabine Bertram. Among other topics, they discussed digital counselling, funding opportunities, the importance of networking and the high importance of the individual experiences of educational consultants.

After the lunch break, the participants could get to know projects in four different workshops and thus, got the opportunity to look at the topic of educational guidance from a practical point of view. The most important impulses were discussed at the end of the event through a mentimeter query. In summary, it can be stated that the participants are particularly interested in new network structures. The view on new impulses should take place on the national and European level. The pandemic years also brought up the importance of digital counselling formats within educational guidance.
