Event Documentation: Future-oriented further education. Shaping the transformation sustainably

“The best way to predict the future is to shape it yourself.” With this guiding principle, presenter Barbara Hemkes summed up the message of the BIBB symposium. At the invitation of the BMBF's Sustainable at Work (NIB) programme and the National Coordination Office of the European Agenda for Adult Education, around 150 experts discussed the role of continuing vocational education and training in the transformation in Bonn.

The conference focused on the question of how continuing vocational education and training can contribute to the sustainable transformation of the economic and working world. To this end, innovative impetus was provided and successful practical examples from Germany and Europe were presented. At the same time, the event offered developers, providers and users of sustainability-oriented advanced training the opportunity to network.
